More exhibitor from Europe at German trade fairs

Are you thinking about exhibiting in Germany? Good idea, as this is in line with the current trend. According to a recent study released by the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA), the number of exhibitors from European countries attending trade fairs in Germany rose by more than 3% from 2006 to 2007. There was a significant increase of exhibitors from Croatia (33 %), Italy (16 %), Hungary (12 %), Russia (10 %) and Spain (8 %).

Simultaneously in 2007, some 2.5 million visitors from abroad attended the 139 international tradefairs which took place in Germany, more than in any other year to date. Around 500,000 (20 %) of the visitors from abroad were from countries outside Europe. Of this figure, the visitors who made up the largest share (200,000) were from south-eastern, eastern and central regions of Asia, followed by North America (90,000), the Middle East (85,000), and South America (70,000 visitors).

So if you are interested in international business, German tradefairs are a good choice. Exhibiting in Germany is also notably simple and efficient, because you can rent your individual booth locally cost-saving and complete from Nomadic Display. Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Takes “Green” Tour

TELUS Tour for the CureWhen the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) partnered with TELUS, one of Canada’s leading telecommunication companies, to produce a breast cancer awareness campaign, the TELUS Tour for the Cure was born. With plans to take the 2008 Tour on the road for six months, the organization’s staff realized that they needed to switch to portable displays to lighten their load to reduce transportation expenses and fuel consumption. TELUS Tour for the CureTour stops were scheduled for 24 cities in British Columbia as well as 42 Aboriginal communities. The exhibits needed to be fast, easy to set-up, and durable enough to withstand the tough conditions they encounter en route.

The CBCF turned to Exhibitree Display Services, Nomadic’s distribution partner in British Columbia.  Exhibitree proposed a customized rental solution comprised of a series of 11 interactive Nomadic Instand pop-up displays. The concept offered significant savings on transportation because the shipment was so compact that the CBCF was able to eliminate one truck. This provided an opportunity for them to reduce their carbon footprint as well as encourage the re-use of existing exhibit properties.

The CBCF is delighted with this innovative display solution and formally kicked off their tour this past May.  “We’re very optimistic that the Nomadic solution presented to us by Exhibitree, will help us achieve our goals for this tour,” says Myrna Holman, CBCF’s Director of Project Implementation.

The future of green exhibiting

Green ExhibitingAccording to a trend report by Exhibitor Magazine, exhibitors reported high interest in green exhibiting options and anticipated that their interest was likely to increase this year.

The study reported that 86% of exhibitors expect to allocate a portion of their 2008 exhibit-marketing budgets to green exhibiting options.  And exhibitors believed that an average of ¼ of their total exhibit marketing budgets are convertible to green options.  However, price was cited as a primary obstacle to a broader adoption of green exhibiting solutions.  According to suppliers, green options cost an average of 25% more than traditional ones.  While exhibitors expect to pay an average of 23% more than traditional options, support for green options erodes when the price premium increases by 5-10%.

Nomadic Display has had a longstanding commitment to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The inherent nature of our products—lightweight, fabricated from environmentally friendly materials, and supported by eco-friendly operational processes—has made us a leader in the green exhibiting movement.

In fact, we recently launched an eco-friendly fabric for our Instand pop-up displays. Our new Eco-fi™ Fabric contains polyester made from 100% certified, post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. While recycled products often come with a higher price tag, the price for Eco-fi Fabrics will be same as those of our current standard fabrics.
